Irrelevent Distance Testo

Testo Irrelevent Distance

The day is dark
The World is cold
Hope Drifts away
Like dry land from a shipwreck
Or was it I who set my eyes abroad?
A simple turn of the head
And a root in my heart

Will I ever make it back again?
So Subtle, the song so gentle
Even from the throat of a liar
Murder is devised in the heart of He
After all it's so much easier
To lust than to love
Whether for skin or for blood

We deserve the darkness of this day
Forgiveness is a word
Our hearts never learned to say
And we follow...
In the many songs of the liar's lead
Making redemption seem only as a dream

But, who am I to doubt the promise of a King?
Surely if His hand stretches forth
I will be free for eternity

Though this body has died
In it's own attempt at life
If this righteousness lives in me
Who can doubt the promise of the King?
For my sins have been cast
Into the abyss of eternal wake
My transgression blotted
And swept from my page
At the instant I questioned in humility
And asked with simple word and phrase
"Jesus, will you forgive me?"
