At times I'm a little bit lonely

sometimes I'm a little bit sad

and other times I try to be happy, Lord

though things seem bad.




So I take out my guitar

and I play me a song or two

and every song I'm playing, darling, yeah!

brings me back to you.

and help me sing my song

the words are very simple
but the feeling's comes on strong.





At times this city life

Whoa! brings me a little of doubt

I'm looking for the country

I'm stuck here in the town
