Testo Pawn To Bishop, Then To King

(This is the part of me that tries to) Turn this circle into an aimless and wave-like line,
Because we are not predestined to live in desolation.
War is man-made and manufactured -
Fabricated ultimatums that cripple and control,
And values that become obsolete for the sake of economic growth.

These 'blessed' grounds that you command us to drink from....
Our harbors and rivers reek of the decay of the penniless
Because they spent more than they had to offer
Crushed, disinfected, disposed of, and cremated under the weight of ambitions.
"In God We Trust" burnt green into the insides of my eyelids.
The collective liars names rot stale in my throat:
Luther, Calvin, and Leo The Tenth
Capitalism in the guise of white Protestantism.

Swallowed by an undercurrent of pseudo-compassionate coexistence
They'll sell you what you don't want to buy with the devil's own persistence
Parasitic wealth-starved zealots who further infect,
Over-convenienced and gorged swollen in order to misdirect
Endeavors that enshroud fascist beginnings
While the fuhrers of totalitarian america -
So eager to trophy their middle-eastern winnings.

But for those of us still barely alive - we're struggling to give

To breathe in intervals based on privilege -
Is not any way that we want to live
