Ascent Testo

Slowly it etches, jagged cracks appear
the face of a lion, the sum of my fears
as I walk it grows steadily erupting
glacier teeth front it's mouth
scraping clouds make up it's mane
from all the hate I try to redirect
from all the pain I don't like affect
my stone face, its like this mountain is me
solid to the eye, but melting underneath
callous and numb, I make my ascent up this volcanic slope as I try to pretend
that i'm just indifferent
meanwhile the rage is overflowing
climbing higher to reach the summit
striving harder to overcome it
the misery that dwells in me
wrath flowing through every vein
I feel the knot begin to tie
internal pressure starts to rise
fangs of temper bite my chest
with crushing jaws, it overwhelms
